This month we proudly offer the Glenmorangie 10 year old as our Malt of the Month.

The legend says that the site of the Glenmorangie distillery has seen the production of alcoholic drinks since the middle ages. Renowned for aging its whisky in different types of wood for different tastes, the Glenmorangie has always been at the forefront of whisky technology and innovation. This month, we’ll try the Glenmorangie 10 year old expression.

In 1843, William Matheson founded the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Inspired by the Distillery’s peaceful surroundings on the banks of the Dornoch Firth, he brought forth a pioneering single malt whisky wonderfully complex and exceptionally smooth. Ever since, Glenmorangie has pursued their craft with uncompromising dedication – endlessly creative in their quest for perfection. To this day, Glenmorangie honour the Distillery’s provenance in their award-winning single malt. Its pure, smooth spirit is distilled in Scotland’s tallest stills, matured in the finest casks and perfected by The Men of Tain. And, in the hands of these select craftsmen, the guardians of the spirit, Glenmorangie 10 year old will surely delight malt whisky lovers for generations to come.

Also of interest is that Glenmorangie is one of the few distilleries that bottle ALL of its output as single malt.
